or mail we will start the scheduling process

What regions do you service?

We provide tutoring services throughout Southern
California and New
York. In Southern
California, we serve Los
Angeles, Orange,
San
Diego, Ventura,
Riverside,
San
Bernardino, and Imperial
counties, as well as nearby communities. In
New York, we serve the New York City area,
including Manhattan,
Brooklyn,
Queens,
Bronx,
and Staten
Island.

What times are your tutors available?
|
|
We work around your schedule! The Academic
Advantage has private tutors available year-round,
7 days a week, for morning, afternoon or evening
sessions. We keep ourselves flexible so our
clients can schedule sessions around other
important after-school and weekend activities.
Remember, we are here to serve you. So no
matter how hectic your schedule is, we will
be able to cater to your needs.

Were you previously called The Tutors' Club?
|
|
Yes, we changed our name to The Academic Advantage
in 2005. Only our name changed; our tutors
and management remained exactly the same.

How do you ensure that my child is progressing and making
academic improvement?
|
|
We continually monitor the progress of our students and
provide parents comprehensive, daily and monthly progress
reports-free of charge!
|

What is the difference between The Academic Advantage and traditional
learning centers?
|
|
There are a few important differences. First, all our
programs are designed solely for one-on-one
instruction, as opposed to traditional learning centers
which are comprised of group lessons. Next, we follow
the student's curriculum from school. Our instructors
will work with current classroom assignments and prepare
for upcoming tests, therefore what they learn during each
session will be directly applied to their class work.
Further and most importantly, traditional learning centers
do not use the same instructor session to session. Clearly
a child can not develop a strong rapport with an instructor,
if that instructor is being switched from session to session.
The instructor in the group session would have to become
newly familiarized with each new student every session,
as opposed to our instructors who maintain an ongoing
relationship with their respective students.

Do you have a guarantee?
|
|
Yes. For academic tutoring
we guarantee your child's grade will improve by at least
1 whole letter grade, please call for further details.
For all our services, if you are not satisfied for any
reason, your first hour will be free! We are committed
to providing you with the best tutor possible.

|
Are there any long-term commitment requirements?
|
|
No. Although we do require our clients to sign a form
acknowledging our policies, there is no long-term commitment
required. Clients may cancel scheduled appointments by
7pm on the day prior to the scheduled session at no charge.

We recognize that a strong rapport and good
chemistry between tutor and student is essential
to the effectiveness of one-on-one
tutoring. Our private tutors are highly
motivating, personable, well-rounded and skilled
to create an environment which encourages

which in turn makes them much more productive
in the classroom.
